Just saw the first half of The Venture Brothers season 4. This because they’re releasing the second half. Possibly the most ambitious show on tv. Certainly the only one with character development. Wow. Any show where Jonny Quest is a recovering junkie & Race Bannon is a government torturer can’t be all bad.
Title says it all.
(bah, hamburg…)
On of the many reasons I hate using other people’s computers is AT&T. Almost everyone who’s computers I borrow or rent uses AT&T for DSL, ditto for almost every intenet equipped place in the Chicago metro area. AT&T’s DNS is so effed up it couldn’t find my blog or Gmail today. I don’t know if this is because of the unpatched DNS bug or not, since i can’t get to Doxpara to check. If AT&T can’t even keep their DNS patched and working, you really shouldn’t take their word for charging you and Google extra for a tiered internet. Idiots. I finally convinced the owner of this machine to let me set up OpenDNS.
It’s LEGO’s 50th anniversary.

Amidst massive and well deserved bad blood over bricking iPhones that had been unlocked, Apple has anounced that they’ll finally ship an iPhone SDK in February. So we have to wait 4 months for the kit, then a little more for the “legal” third party apps to roll out. And no word on what restrictions they’ll put on apps or the kit–it could be you can’t touch the hardware, which would make the amazing Delicious Library mobile version an impossibility. So 4+ months before I find out if my next computer fits in my hand or in a wheelbarrow…
Because Leapard ships Oct. 26th. Right on time, 2 years late! And that’s when lots of unemployed geeks like me and Hairball find out if our hardware can really run the new operating system, or whether we’re moving back to linux.
